Trans-media entertainment company Atlantyca Entertainment thanks to a partnership with HumanID is proud to announce that its “Geronimo Stilton, Kingdom of Fantasy Musical”, has been awarded Canada’s Prestigious ADISQ (The Quebec Association of the music industry, entertainment and video) 2013 FELIX Award for Album of the Year-Youth. Music and arrangements by Oliver Boyer-Masutti with lyrics written by popular entertainer and the musical’s stage director, Serge Postigo, the album features 12 different original musical pieces, which quickly climbed the charts gaining popularity with the regions families and music industry professionals throughout Canada. Atlantyca Entertainment, signed with HumanID in 2012 to bring the exciting adventure and humor of the bestselling Geronimo Stilton Kingdom of Fantasy book series to stages throughout Canada. HumanID created and produced two traditional live stage musicals, one for French-speaking audiences and one for English-audiences which began touring throughout Canada in late 2012.
The Geronimo Stilton Kingdom of Fantasy Musical is uniquely designed to entertain and delight all-family audiences in each local territory. The musicals are faithful to the popular books series, delivering exciting adventure and humor that children and parents around the world have come to expect from Italy’s most famous mouse-author, Geronimo Stilton. The successful live productions (which are also in several European territories) are based on the Geronimo Stilton In The Kingdom of Fantasy book series that tells of Geronimo Stilton’s heroic feats with elves, gnomes, imps and witches that help him save Floridiana, the Queen of Fairies! The series has a unique characteristic: the readers can interact with the book by “scratching and smelling good and bad scents” that can be found on the pages and that correspond with particular moments in the story. Publishing rights for the book have been sold by Atlantyca Entertainment’s foreign rights sales department in The Netherlands, Spain, France and Poland. Worldwide. Hosted by Louis-José Houde, the 35th ADISQ was presented on October 27 at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts, and broadcast live on Radio-Canada, reaching over a million viewers. This year’s event included 290 nominations honoring 131 artists and more than 95 producers and professionals.
